COLORFUL has announced the launch of the X15 XS gaming laptop, featuring a simplified design and updated packaging while maintaining its focus of serving gamers or creators looking for a value-based performance laptop.

The COLORFUL X15 XS comes equipped with Intel Core i5-12500H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 laptop GPU. As the CPU is on the older side of the spectrum, the RAM comes in 16GB (2x8GB) of DDR4 – not DDR5, though expandable up to 64GB. Storage-wise, you get a 512GB NVMe SSD, which can also be upgraded. Display is a 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz IPS panel with 45% NTSC color space, while additional features include an RGB backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and Sound Blaster Cinema 6+ HD audio.
Upon closer inspection, we found that this particular laptop is based on an ODM unit from Taiwanese-based laptop maker Clevo, which is a company that supplies bare chassis for system integrators (COLORFUL in this case) to built their own laptops, usually at a lower cost compared to standard laptop makers (local laptop maker Illegear operates in similar ways). Specifically, this laptop uses the NP50RNx1 series chassis – a relatively old design by now.
The COLORFUL X15 XS i5/RTX3050 (2025) gaming laptop will be available soon through partner resellers at a suggested retail price of $699 (~RM3,114), the company announced.
