[Computex 2024] Acer Introduces New TravelMate Laptop Lineup

Acer has announced a new lineup of AI-enhanced TravelMate business laptops with the latest processors featuring built-in NPUs, a dedicated Copilot hotkey on Windows, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 security, and Acer’s suite of commercial management solutions.

Acer TravelMate P6 14

The Intel Evo certified Acer TravelMate P6 14 features Intel Core Ultra 7 with Intel vPro Enterprise and boasts a 2.8K OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 gamut and VESA HDR True Black 500 certification. The laptop also supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD, as well as promising long battery life. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, with essential ports supporting Thunderbolt 4.

Acer TravelMate P4 Series

The Acer TravelMate P4 16 and P4 Spin 14 are powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 7 with Intel vPro Enterprise and feature FHD+ displays. The P4 Spin 14 convertible model notably offers a touch display and optional 4G LTE connectivity; meanwhile, the P4 14 variant is powered by AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series processors with AMD Ryzen AI, supporting up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory.

Acer says these TravelMate laptops come with MIL-STD-810H durability certification, and Acer Dust Defender slows the dust buildup that can drag performance down due to overheating. Users can explore AI features through the Acer Experience Zone via TravelMateSense app, which offers tools like Acer LiveArt for instant background removal in images and Acer PurifiedView 2.0 for enhanced videoconferencing.

Security is important in business – so these laptops is available with features such as biometric security, camera privacy shutters, and the discrete TPM 2.0 chip. For management, the Acer Office Manager allows smaller organizations that may lack dedicated IT personnel to monitor devices easily, with the ProShield Plus security solution keeping the critical data safe.

The laptop announced today will begin rollout in NA and EMEA regions starting July/Q3 2024, starting from EUR 949 / $1,229. No local pricing nor availability information has been announced at this writing.
