The Dell XPS Desktop 8960 is touted as the “most powerful XPS desktop yet”, with specs to match. The CPU and GPU respectively can be optioned with flagship Core i9-13900K and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, or alternatively if you’re looking for Team Red hardware, there’s the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT as well. Memory is courtesy of dual-slot DDR5 with 64GB available as an option, though those who need more (such as 96GB) may need to get the modules separately.

On the cooling department, there’s both air cooling and water cooling option, the latter of which uses a single 120mm radiator to manage the CPU’s heat. In both cases, these are strictly for Intel’s stock 125W TDPs – don’t expect to push more beyond that. There’s new side venting for extra cooling as well, Dell noted. The XPS Desktop will be available in March this year – pricing is still TBC at the time of this writing.

Up next is Dell XPS laptops, with 15-inch and 17-inch flavors available. Both gets the latest Intel 13th Gen and NVIDIA RTX 40 series hardware, though on the entry level specs you get to choose Intel’s own Arc A370M as the discrete GPU. Both models gets quad speaker setup tuned by Grammy-winning producer Jack Joseph Puig for the “immersive 3D sound experience”, the company says. Another common feature is the AI-based optimization software which fine-tunes an assortment of features including audio and performance.

On the top end, you get Core i9-13900H + RTX 4080 (60W) combo for the XPS 17 whereas the smaller 15-inch model can be specified up to Core i9-13900H + RTX 4070 (40W). Both models will launch in Malaysia in this April, however no local pricing has been announced just yet.

Pokdepinion: That XPS Desktop sure needs to deal with a lot of heat with those components.
