HONOR has officially announced its upcoming MagicBook Pro 14 is set to be available in Malaysia from 13 June 2025, with the laptop featuring the largest battery capacity in its class, paired with Intel Core Ultra 5 225H processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage.

HONOR MagicBook Pro 14

Specifically, the laptop will pack a battery rated at whopping 92Wh of capacity, which is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of typical usage, per HONOR. The company provided more figures, including approximately 7 hours of web browsing, 10 hours of messaging and file sharing, and more than 5 hours of video conferencing. Charging is done via 100W SuperCharge which tops the battery up to 47% in 30 minutes and a full charge in approximately 68 minutes.

For the MagicBook Pro 14’s display, it features a touch-capable 14.6-inch OLED panel with 3120 x 2080 resolution in a rarer 3:2 aspect ratio, though this offers even more vertical space compared to 16:10 displays found in most laptops today. Like most OLED panels, it supports 100% DCI-P3 color space along with practically infinite contrast ratio, and it also supports HDR with up to 700 nits of peak brightness, though SDR peak brightness is not listed. It also features TÜV certifications for its low blue light and anti-flickering capabilities.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 225H processor powering the laptop features 14 cores in 4P+8E+2LPE configuration, and the cooling system allows the chip to run at 65W TDP via laptop’s performance mode. HONOR says its “dual-mode intelligent cooling system” features with triangle wing fins that delivers 8.6% improvement in heat dissipation and a 25% boost in thermal efficiency, along with 12mm 3D composite heat pipe and enhanced airflow design. At its default Smart Mode power profile, the chip still has a pretty generous 50W TDP to work with.

Here comes a bit of AI dark magic courtesy of “HONOR Turbo X Technology”, which the company says is an “AI-powered system-level optimization platform.” Nothing precise is said regarding this tech aside from transferring its technology expertise from developing power management systems in smartphones, and the only takeaway here from the company’s press release is “record-breaking performance seen in its latest devices.” Take this for what you will.

Despite its large battery (which is typically associated with extra weight), the MagicBook Pro 14 remains relatively lightweight at 1.37kg and measures 16.9mm in thickness. For its design, HONOR says it features a “Vine-leaf Curves Design with soft Double Tangent Arcs” for a “smooth, comfortable hand feel.” The laptop will be available solely in White color option with a pearl electrophoresis finish.

The HONOR MagicBook Pro 14 will be available nationwide on 13 June 2025 at RM4,999. Upon purchase, it’ll come bundled with one-year subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal plan and an HONOR Backpack, valued in total at RM508.

Pokdepinion: 92Wh battery in a lightweight laptop sounds like a no-brainer to me.
