Lenovo Unveiled the First ThinkPad to Use a Snapdragon Chip at MWC 2022
At MWC 2022, Lenovo has introduced the first ThinkPad to be powered by a Snapdragon chip, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s. Here’s everything that you need to know about it.
Lenovo ThinkPad X13s: First To Be Powered by Snapdragon SoC
The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 SoC, which is not only the first ThinkPad to be powered by a Snapdragon, but also the first enterprise laptop to do so. It is said to be so energy-efficient, it can last up to 28 hours on a single charge.
What’s different here compared to most other ultraportable laptops is its focus on mobility. It has a fanless design, weighs a mere 1.06kg thanks to its magnesium alloy chassis, and supports both 5G and Wi-Fi 6E. Apart from that, it has a 13.3-inch WUXGA IPS display with a low power of 400 nits for maximum efficiency.
It will be using the Windows 11 Pro OS and comes with a number of smart AI features by Qualcomm such as auto-framing for the webcam, intelligent noise suppression, and automatic dimming that’s dependent on whether your eyesight is still on the laptop or not. It can even turn the display off completely to protect your privacy.

Pokdepinion: It’s a pretty interesting laptop but I would personally like to test out their battery life claim. If true, this would be a huge turning point for laptops in terms of day-to-day usability as it would be more on par with modern smartphones.
