The folks at HUAWEI has announced of their largest HUAWEI Health Lab to date where it is located in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, China.

The lab will support more than 80 types of testing requests for R&D personnel in fields such as professional research, ecosystem co-development, and health and fitness scenario incubation, hence supporting the research, incubation, and testing of HUAWEI’s smart wearable products.

The Largest HUAWEI Health Lab Has Opened In China With 80 Types Of Testing Requests 22It also offers a professional optical motion capture system, where it includes 28 high-speed infrared cameras supporting a peak sampling rate of 10,000Hz, allowing to record a wide range of subjects which includes bullets with milimetre-level accuracy. They hope with it, they can develop new and innovative features for their smart wearable products.

There’s the exercise physiology research area where it comes equipped with cardiopulmonary function and metabolism meters, heart rate belts, and high-performance treadmills that researchers can use to monitor as V92 max, calorie consumption, and workout heart rate. To date, the lab has already captured about 192,500km of running data this year.

It will also act as an incubator for scenario-oriented experiences and service packages that consumers can directly enjoy, including micro-physical examination, home fitness, and digital sports.

Not to forget, users can use HUAWEI wearable products to measure physical indicators such as blood pressure and sp02 monitoring. In the indoor fitness area, users can start tracking their exercise by connecting a HUAWEI smartwatch, a HUAWEI Vision, and other third party equipment.

With such investment in digital health and fitness technologies, the company has said that there’s more than 5 million users that have joined the HUAWEI Research Program, and over 320 million users have benefitted from their health and fitness services.
