Black Shark 5 Series Will Be Available in Malaysia on 8 June
In addition to POCO, Civi, and Redmi, Xiaomi offers a sub-brand called Black Shark that sells smartphones with bold designs geared at the gaming smartphone market.
Earlier this year, the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro were revealed earlier this year and the phones will be officially available in Malaysia soon. According to the official Black Shark Malaysia Facebook page, the phone will be available in Malaysia on 8 June 2022 and will be broadcast live on Facebook and TikTok.
Black Shark 5 Pro Specifications
The Black Shark 5 Pro features Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G, up to 16GB RAM of LPDDR5 6400MHz RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage space which is powered by a 4650mAh battery that supports 120W Hyper Charge.
The phone is also built with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. It comes pre-installed with JOYUI13, which is based on Android 12 and should be extremely familiar to users of MIUI devices.
The phone includes a triple rear camera configuration which is the main camera with a 108MP and an f/1.75 sensor, a 13MP, f/2.4 ultrawide camera, and a 5MP, f/2.4 telephoto macro lens. Meanwhile, the front of the phone features a 16MP, f/2.45 front-facing camera.
A key feature of the Black Shark 5 Pro is that the phone comes with magnetic trigger buttons on the side. With a gentle touch, the magnet-lift technology, ultra-responsive shoulder triggers emerge for precise, customized control in competitive games. When not in use, the triggers integrate back into the edge of the phone.
Black Shark 5 Pro and Black Shark 5 are physically identical with some minor differences. The base variant comes in Mirror Black and Explorer Grey whereas the pro variant comes in Stellar Black and Nebula White.
The Black Shark 5 will have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage space, and a 4650mAh battery with 120W charging capabilities. It has a 64MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP camera located in the front.

Pokdepinion: A gaming phone with additional buttons for fps games are really nice addition. Also being able to hide the buttons are also another nice touch as they won’t bother our daily activities on the phone outside of gaming.
