MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200+ to Outperform Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Leak Suggests

MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Outperforms Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Scores Leaked Ahead of Launch

MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9200+ chipset is generating buzz among tech enthusiasts, especially after a Geekbench 6 score sheet surfaced online, demonstrating impressive single-core and multi-core performance that outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The chipset is slated to be launched on May 10 and is rumored to be powering a vivo smartphone, possibly the rumored X90S flagship. According to the alleged Geekbench 6 listing, the chipset has scored 5,655 points in the multi-core test and 2,121 points in the single-core scenario, which is higher than most Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphones on the market.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate with X Mode turned on is the only Android handset that comes close to the Dimensity 9200+. However, the only chipset that currently outperforms the Dimensity 9200+ in terms of benchmark scores is Apple’s A16 Bionic SoC.

The chipset is expected to feature a Cortex-X3 main core clocked at 3.35 GHz, three Cortex-A175 cores ticking at 3.0 GHz, and four small Cortex-A510 cores with unknown clock speeds. The Dimensity 9200+ is expected to be a game-changer in the smartphone industry and could give MediaTek a significant advantage over its competitors.
