HONOR Updates Its Website With New Domain
If you’ve ever visited HONOR’s official website, you certainly remember the domain name is hihonor.com. The company has announced the completion of the website’s domain transition today, which will now use the new domain name of honor.com.
As for why the company didn’t use honor.com right away back then, it was due to the domain being used by other entities at the time. Looking through the past snapshots of the domain on Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, the honor.com domain was last used in 2019 as a URL redirect to an American-owned website for US veterans. Since then, all snapshots of the domain rendered a blank page until late March this year, when HONOR finally took ownership of the domain.
Right now, if you type hihonor.com into the address bar, it should automatically redirect you to the new honor.com domain. Domain name changes aside, everything will function as usual – the only thing you need to do is to update the bookmarks if you have the website saved before this.
