HONOR Malaysia has announced the official launch of its latest smartphone, the HONOR X9c 5G, on 5 November 2024. The launch event, which will be streamed live on Facebook page at 7 PM, is set to reveal the device’s specifications and pricing.

The X9c 5G introduces six major upgrades from its predecessor, the X9b 5G, according to HONOR. First is the Ultra-tough Triple Defense design, featuring “unique Bézier curve design” and tempered glass capable of withstanding drops up to 2 meters – 25% better than X9b’s 1.6 meters. The company also claims that this is the first smartphone to attain SGS Five-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification.
Battery is also enlarged beyond 5,800mAh of the X9b, though the exact figures are yet to be announced. One hint given is “industry’s largest silicon-carbon battery,” but besides that, fast charging capabilities will be significantly improved as well. Beyond that, HONOR also touts upgraded display, a new 108MP main camera with OIS, 300% louder speakers, and the addition of Magic AI features for the first time in X-series.
To mark the upcoming launch, HONOR Malaysia has introduced an Early Bird Special for the HONOR X9c 5G, where customers can secure the device with a RM9 deposit until 3PM on 4 November 2024. Early buyers will receive a gift package worth RM1,486, which includes a 365-day Front & Back Crack Replacement, a 180-day One-to-One Replacement policy, and a 36-month Battery Assurance.
