HUAWEI P50 Pocket Is HUAWEI’s Latest Clamshell Device

Today we’ve witnessed the launch of  the HUAWEI P50 Pocket, the latest flagship device from the company. Read on to find out more on it.

Then we have the HUAWEI P50 Pocket, their new clamshell device. It is also powered by the Snapdragon 888 (4G) chipset and sports a 6.9-inch display when unfolded with a 21:9 ratio. Coming in White and Premium Gold variants, the back is made of ultra-thin glass. There’s also a Premium Gold variant too, where it is their Premium Edition created in collaboration with designer Iris Van Herpen.

The back of the device adopts HUAWEI P50 Series double-ring design, with one ring housing the camera module and the other the smart Cover Screen.

Coming back to the display, it offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz as well as 300Hz touch sampling rate. One of the selling points of the device would be the Ultra Spectrum Camera Matrix, where it boasts of a 40MP True-Chroma Camera, a 13MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera, a 32MP Ultra Spectrum Camera, as well as a 10-Channel Multi Spectrum Sensor and an Ultra Spectrum illuminator.

Under the hood is a 4000mAh battery which you can charge with its 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charger. Aside from that, it comes with a Super Privacy Mode, where it automatically disables the cameras, microphone, and located when folded and re-enables them upon unfolding.

Unfortunately, the pricing for the device is unknown just yet for the Malaysian market. That being said, HUAWEI is looking to announce it early of next year, alongside with the price of the HUAWEI P50 Pro.
