New iPhone 14 Pro Report Hints at 8GB RAM
There are several more months to go before Apple is launching their much-anticipated iPhone 14 series. There has been a significant amount of rumours circulating the series’ design, screen and cameras.
Here’s a look into the iPhone 14 Pro’s RAM capacity
A recent MacRumors report shared that a Korean blogger known as yeux1122 found that the iPhone 14 will have 8GB RAM. The claim cites the domestic supply chain which will has the iPhone 14 Pro’s memory components being confirmed for mass production as schedules have been sped up.
Recently, supply chain analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities, who previously claimed the iPhone 14 Pro having 6GB RAM, has also confirmed this new information. The analyst had previously reported that the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max will come with 6GB memory and 120Hz LTPO display, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. So it made sense that the Pro model will come with extra RAM to compensate the difference between the models.
The smartphone will feature a 48MP camera which will be the highest pixel count sensor released featured on an iPhone yet. It is also reported that Apple will convert the iPhone 14 series to be eSIM only models, thus removing another port from the smartphone and potentially making it more waterproof.
One of the potential design changes to look forward to for the iPhone 14 series will also be the front camera notch. Since 2017, iPhones utilizing Face ID have had a bulky notch at the front that houses all the necessary hardware for facial scanning. However, that is set to change with the launch of the iPhone 14 as the device is said to come with a combination of these three components, two smaller cutouts; one in a traditional punch hole shape and a pill shaped cutout.
Pokdepinion: We’ve been hearing about these leaks even before the iPhone 13 models’ debut, so one can only hope that all these leaks will bring about a new lower price range as well.
