The Glacier Battery technology is designed to be more efficient, durable, and energy-dense than existing battery solutions. OnePlus claims that the new battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity even after four years of regular use. This is a significant improvement over the industry average of 800 charging cycles, offering users a longer-lasting battery life for their devices.

OnePlus confirmed that the Glacier Battery will have a capacity of 6,100 mAh and an energy density of 763Wh/L. Remarkably, despite its high capacity, the battery will weigh just 14 grams. This makes it not only powerful but also lightweight, ensuring that the overall weight of the device remains manageable.

Maintaining its commitment to fast charging, OnePlus revealed that the Glacier Battery will support 100W fast charging. This capability allows the 6,100 mAh battery to charge from 1% to 100% in just 36 minutes, ensuring that users spend less time tethered to a charger and more time using their devices.

The development of the Glacier Battery was a collaborative effort with CATL, the largest battery manufacturer in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Based in Ningde, CATL provided the expertise and manufacturing facilities needed to bring this advanced battery technology to life.
