OPPO Ace2 debuts 40W AirVOOC wireless fast charging from just ~RM2453 in China
OPPO has never offered wireless charging in their smartphones, but when they finally decided to offer the technology, they decided to go all out. The OPPO Ace2 is OPPO’s first smartphone with wireless charging, and the second smartphone in the world we know of with 40W wireless charging.
OPPO calls it their AirVOOC technology, promising a full charge in just 56 minutes. The wireless charger is sold separately for CNY 249 (~RM153), which I do believe is a pretty fair price to pay for such cutting edge tech. For those who prefer a more conventional charging experience, there’s also 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, which OPPO claims to deliver a full charge to the OPPO Ace2 in just 30 minutes. And if you are feeling benevolent, there’s 10W reverse wireless charging too.
The OPPO Ace2’s list of impressive features do not end there. It sports a 6.5″ FHD+ OLED display that offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, with a punch hole housing the 16MP selfie camera. Meanwhile over on the back there’s the 48MP main camera, paired up with a 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and two depth sensors.
Under the hood is the standard 2020 flagship ensemble, which means a Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. No UFS 3.1 storage here, I guess. If you opt for the 8GB RAM variants, you will only get LPDDR4x RAM, which is a bit slower but I kinda doubt it will really affect your experience. There’s a T-shaped vapor chamber cooling system too to ensure optimal performance.

Pokdepinion: Looks like OPPO wants to go for the “budget flagship” title too…
