OPPO Find N2 Flip Debuts In Malaysia, Featuring Largest Cover Screen
The company today has announced the local availability of its foldable smartphone, the Find N2 Flip – featuring the largest cover screen in a flip phone, with various flagship-grade specs.
The new OPPO Find N2 Flip features two displays, with the cover screen measuring 3.26 inches at 720 x 382 resolution with 30Hz to 60Hz refresh rate. That extra screen size is utilized by OPPO’s ColorOS to display various status messages or widgets, including voice recording, timer and also acting as the camera viewfinder. The main 6.8-inch LTPO display meanwhile, is a 21:9 FHD+ panel with 1-120Hz variable refresh rate supported by 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Another headlining feature is the display hinge: called the New Generation Flexion Hinge, the new hinge design lets the display fold in large diameter (in the form of teardrop shape) to avoid forming visible creases, the whole body weights 191g and measures at 7.45mm when opened. The whole assembly has also been simplified with fewer parts to allow extra battery capacity, in this case, two cells with 4,300mAh combined capacity.
Camera department features a primary 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and 32MP Sony IMX709 is placed at the inside for front-facing duty. The MariSilicon X NPU, Oppo’s in-house imaging chip, manages post-processing which the company says boost ultra-lowlight performance in 4K video. Powering it is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Charging its full 4,300mAh cell is the 44W SUPERVOOC proprietary fast-charging tech which should top up the cell from 0 to 50% in 23 minutes and full charge in “less than one hour”.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will come in two colors, Astral Black and Moonlit Purple, and costs RM3,999 – preorders has begun and will last until 10 March 2023. Those who preorder will be eligible for exclusive gifts totaling in RM637, including one-year extended warranty (worth RM259), OPPO Enco Air3 TWS (worth RM249) and OPPO Find N2 Flip phone case (worth RM129).
In time for International Women’s Day, those who preorder during 2 March to 5 March at selected OPPO brand stores and online stores will be eligible to receive an additional mystery gift and have the phone shipped earlier than official release, on 8 March 2023.
