REDMAGIC 8 Pro Matte and Void Variants Have Arrived in Malaysia

REDMAGIC has introduced the REDMAGIC 8 Pro gaming smartphone in Malaysia. The device comes in two memory variants and different rear panel designs. The Matte variant has a sandstone-like finish and a vertical camera array, while the fancier Void model features a glass and matte rear panel, an RGB lighting system, and a square glass island that houses the camera setup.

Both the Matte and Void versions of the gaming smartphone have a flat 6.8-inch AMOLED display, physical buttons on both sides, and capacitive shoulder triggers on the right side. They also come with stereo speakers, dual X-axis linear motors, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.

REDMAGIC’s ICE 11 system keeps the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset cool, and both devices are equipped with a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP GN5 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Additionally, both variants feature a 16MP under display camera and a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging capability.

The REDMAGIC 8 Pro series is now available in Malaysia, with the Matte variant priced at RM3,699, and the Void model priced at RM4,299. Both models are available via authorized distributors nationwide and REDMAGIC’s official Lazada online store. There is a special promotional price of RM2,899 and RM3,499 for both variants respectively, from now until 25th February 2023 exclusively via REDMAGIC’s Lazada store.

Pokdepinion: Now that’s a pretty solid price, at least the promotional one, for what you’re getting. With that being said however, I’m curious enough to see if it can compete against existing gaming phones as well as flagship devices, as they would definitely need the mainstream audience support as well.
