As a matter of fact, here are a few numbers of the vivo X Fold5 already published: 217g weight, 9.2mm folded thickness, 4.3mm unfolded thickness, 6,000mAh battery, 80W wired fast charging, 40W wireless fast charging, IP59 ingress protection, display hinge rated for 600,000 folds, and triple 50MP rear cameras. There are some caveats: the weight and thickness figures of the X Fold5 only applies to one of the two color options – Titanium Gray – while the Feather White variant weighs 226g and measures 9.7mm / 4.55mm thick.

Further expanding on the camera details, the primary rear shooter is what vivo refer as ‘Ultra Sensing VCS Bionic Main Camera’ which houses a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor; a second 50MP telephoto camera packs Sony’s IMX882 sensor with 3x optical zoom. The third camera contains a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with and features 120° FOV for ultrawide duties. As for its front-facing cameras, the outer display will be located at the top middle of the screen, while the one embedded on the inner display is tucked into the top-right corner.

The vivo X Fold5 reportedly comes with several unique features as well, with a button on the left side (when unfolded) that seemingly functions as a remappable function key a la iPhone’s Action Button, along with a way to seamlessly communicate with Apple devices despite the Cupertino giant’s rather tall walled garden these days.

In any case, expect vivo to announce more details in the coming weeks as the company prepares for its official market release, and you can look forward to the full specs, features, pricing and availability to be announced by then.
