vivo X100 Series Launching On 3rd January 2024, Company Confirms
Chinese smartphone maker vivo has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming flagship, the vivo X100 series. The smartphone will launch on January 3, 2024 at 3PM, as the smartphone is set to continue its collaboration with leading optics company ZEISS.
Some of X100’s hardware will be inherited from its predecessor – the vivo X90 series – which includes the same 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. For the Malaysian market, the smartphone will use the same specs as the Chinese model, which means you’ll be getting the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, 16GB RAM (with 16GB additional paging), and 5400mAh battery.
The smartphone will also be getting the updated neural co-processor called V3, and it’ll be responsible for assisting the computational photography, plus – for the first time – super resolution and frame interpolation, similar to the ones you see on desktop GPU vendors’ implementation (NVIDIA DLSS & AMD FSR). It’s worth noting that this feature was first debuted through iQOO 12 (under the Supercomputing Chip Q1 moniker), the flagship of vivo’s sub-brand.
Prior to the official launch, vivo will showcase the new X100 series through the exclusive Experience Day event this Saturday (23 December 2023) on vivo Concept Store Sunway Pyramid, scheduled from 2PM to 4PM.
