Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro in Malaysia, just a day after their global unveiling. Building on the success of their predecessor, the new 14T series continues to deliver flagship-level performance with premium photography capabilities at a more accessible price point.
Ahead of the global launch, Xiaomi Malaysia began a pre-order campaign last week, where customers could secure their device with a RM100 deposit and enjoy additional freebies worth up to RM2,276.
Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro

The Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro offer premium features, making them formidable competitors in the flagship smartphone market. Both devices come with a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, 2712×1220 resolution, and a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits. The displays also support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and PWM Dimming up to 3840Hz, ensuring vibrant and clear visuals.
Powering the Xiaomi 14T is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G615 MC6 GPU, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro takes it up a notch with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip and an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. Both models feature 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for smooth multitasking and faster performance.
Leica Co-Engineered Cameras for Stellar Photography

Both devices are equipped with Leica co-engineered triple-camera systems. The Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro share similar setups, with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. However, the Pro model features a larger 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 900 sensor, compared to the 14T’s Sony 1/1.56″ IMX906 image sensor.
In terms of telephoto capability, the Xiaomi 14T offers a 50mm equivalent focal length (2.2x zoom), while the Xiaomi 14T Pro provides a 60mm equivalent focal length (2.6x zoom). Both models are equipped with a 32MP front camera for sharp selfies.

As expected from a flagship smartphone, both models are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. They also feature stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification for immersive sound quality. In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi 14T Pro supports WiFi 7 with 4×4 MIMO, while the Xiaomi 14T offers WiFi 6E with 4×4 MIMO. Both devices support Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC, ensuring compatibility with the latest wireless standards.

The Xiaomi 14T series is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, offering long-lasting usage. The Xiaomi 14T Pro supports 120W HyperCharge, enabling it to fully charge in just 19 minutes. For the first time in the T-series, the Pro model also supports 50W wireless charging, fully charging the device in 45 minutes.

Otherwise, this might just be the best bang for buck smartphone today, but we’ll know for sure when we review it so stay tuned.
