New 9th Generation iPad Unveiled With A Starting Price Of RM1,499
Apple has just announced the new 9th generation iPad, which features an A13 Bionic chip, a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone, a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage, support for Apple Pencil (1st generation) and Smart Keyboard, iPadOS 15, and twice the storage of the previous generation.
The new 9th generation iPad features the powerful A13 Bionic chip, which provides a 20% performance gain over the previous model. The A13 Bionic’s Neural Engine also drives next-generation machine learning capabilities, such as Live Text, which employs on-device intelligence to recognise text in a photo and prompts users to take action.
The new 12MP Ultra Wide front camera and Neural Engine enable the Center Stage experience on iPad Pro, which is now available on iPad. Center Stage automatically pans the camera to keep users in view as they move about. When others join the chat, the camera identifies them as well and smoothly zooms out to include them. Center Stage improves the naturalness of video calls in FaceTime and third-party video-calling apps.
The new 9th generation iPad also comes with a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone that automatically adjusts the screen to the colour temperature of a room. This is achieved via an ambient light sensor thus producing a more natural-looking image for all lighting environments. The new iPad also comes with double the storage capacity as its predecessors, starting at 64GB with a 256GB option also available.
