Upcoming Entry-level Apple iPad Might Abandon Headphone Jack
A number of gadgets nowadays have lost the beloved headphone jack, and it appears that more will be getting the same treatment. It appears that the entry-level 10th Gen Apple iPad will be losing out on that as well.
Based on leaks of the 10th Gen Apple iPad from MySmartPrice, the CAD renders clearly show a lack of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Apart from that, we also get a look at a new camera housing design and similar flat edges as seen in higher end variants as well as recent iPhones.
The home button is still present, which means the top and bottom bezels will be rather big, and it will still make use of USB-C for charging and data transfer. The CAD renders are said to have come from a manufacturer that is working on new protective cases for the upcoming tablet.
Regardless, do take this information with a grain of salt. We will likely learn more about it in Fall 2022 so we will report more on it as soon as information becomes available.
Pokdepinion: It was bound to happen one way or another. The only mobile devices that I foresee still having it would be laptops, both Windows and Mac.
