HUAWEI Malaysia has announced the nationwide availability of its new flagship tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max. This tablet combines a thin 4.7mm chassis with a weight of 509g, featuring a 13.2-inch OLED panel with the brand’s “PaperMatte” anti-glare technology – the panel itself has a 3K 3:2 (3000 x 2000) resolution, a 94% screen-to-body ratio, and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness.
HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max Launched
While the company is very secretive about its processing hardware due to U.S. sanctions, it is speculated that the chipset inside the MatePad Pro Max – the 9-core Kirin T93 Pro – is a cellular-less version of the Kirin 9030 Pro that already powers the flagship Mate 80 Pro series. The chipset is supplemented with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage, being the sole option available here.
The tablet also includes a 50MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, along with a 12MP front camera; the 10,400mAh battery onboard supports 66W fast charging and 40W wired reverse charging. There’s also six-speaker audio with four microphones, plus Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, and NearLink (a short-range wireless protocol developed by HUAWEI and the namesake consortium) support.
HUAWEI also mentioned a few accessories that’ll tag along the flagship MatePad: the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro are self-explanatory, and software-wise it comes with HarmonyOS 4.3, with pre-installed WPS Office, HUAWEI Notes and HUAWEI GoPaint for various kinds of productivity and creative work.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max is priced from RM5,999 and is available through HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada, and the HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop.
