Hisense has retained its position as the world’s leading brand in the 100-inch and above TV segment, according to data from research firm Omdia. In Q1 2026, the Chinese TV maker held a 55.2% global market share in the 100-inch-plus TV category.
Hisense’s Growing 100-inch+ TV Lineup
Hisense’s current large-screen portfolio is built around two display technologies: RGB MiniLED and Laser projection.

The MiniLED range includes the UXS series, positioned as Hisense’s flagship MiniLED offering, alongside the UR9 and UR8, which sit within the premium tier of the 100-inch-plus lineup. RGB MiniLED technology uses an array of small LEDs for local dimming control, in which the separate red, green, and blue LEDs provides wider color gamut output compared to conventional white-LED backlighting.

On the Laser side (technically a projector, but Hisense regards this category as ‘Laser TVs’), the company has the XR10 Laser projector. Unlike panel-based TVs, laser projection systems fire laser light onto a screen surface, enabling very large screen sizes of up to 300 inches from a compact ultra-short-throw projector unit. Hisense has also previously partnered with Xbox to bring ultra-large Laser displays into the gaming space as well.
The 100-inch TV market has seen growing consumer interest in recent years. Improvements in display manufacturing, reduced production costs, and the wider availability of 4K (and sometimes 8K) streaming content have contributed to increased demand for large-format home displays. Laser projection technology, in particular, has made very large screen sizes more accessible by removing the dependence on large physical panels.
Pokdepinion: Holding more than half the global market for 100-inch-plus TVs is a remarkable figure, and it will be interesting to see whether Hisense can bring more of that large-screen lineup to Malaysian shelves.
