REGZA made its first dedicated exhibition appearance at a major European trade show at IFA 2026, marking the brand’s European debut, 8 years after it has been acquired by Hisense (now operating as TVS REGZA Corporation). TVS REGZA’s EVP Yasuhiro Ishibashi said Europe represents a key market for the brand’s next phase of global growth, with further plans to expand across Europe and other markets.

The brand was originally created by Toshiba Corporation as a television brand and launched in Japan in 2006, though with the gradual collapse of TV manufacturing industry in Japan in the following decade, most Japanese TV makers have since outsourced or sold their businesses to Chinese counterparts.

At its IFA booth, REGZA presented several products spanning picture, gaming and lifestyle display technologies. The lineup included the 116-inch ZX Series flagship RGB Mini LED TV, a concept model featuring the brand’s latest REGZA ZR technology, gaming and ArtVision display demonstrations, and two QLED Mini LED models, the Z670S and Z570S.

The 116-inch ZX Series serves as the brand’s flagship RGB Mini LED television, combining a newly developed RGB Mini LED backlight with the REGZA Engine ZRα processor. The backlight independently controls red, green and blue LEDs to improve color purity, brightness and gamut, while the processor uses AI-based scene analysis to determine backlight color settings for different areas of the screen. The system also distinguishes between reflected and self-emitted light to reproduce color, brightness and texture accordingly, supported by 108-bit color gradation for detailed rendering.

The TV maker also demonstrated a concept model across two 85-inch flagship Mini LED units, featuring a feature the company calls Realistic Sunlit Scene Reproduction. The REGZA Engine ZRα analyzes scenes in real time to detect strong light sources such as sunlight, adjusting brightness and highlight contrast to preserve detail without overexposing bright areas, aiming to reproduce natural outdoor lighting more accurately.

For gaming applications, the showcase featured the REGZA Engine ZRi processor, a 144Hz native refresh rate, low input lag, and support for variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM), alongside a Game Deck feature incorporating AI-based gaming tools. The REGZA ArtVision G700S was also on display, designed for use as a lifestyle display with a matte, anti-glare screen and an Art Mode intended to replicate a gallery-style visual presentation when not in use for viewing.

Two additional models aimed at broader markets were shown: the 100-inch Z670S QLED Mini LED TV and the 85-inch Z570S QLED TV. The Z670S combines QLED, Mini LED and Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) technologies, powered by the REGZA Engine ZRi, with front-firing speakers using Eilex PRISM audio technology, along with 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. The Z570S, positioned as a more accessible option, is built around QLED Color technology with Mini Dimming, a native 144Hz refresh rate, Game Mode Pro, and REGZA Power Audio for sound output.

Pokdepinion: Pretty sure there will be some parts sharing from Hisense with how little margins these hardware get these days.
