Alula SC and ELEVATE will represent the Garena region at the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals in Mexico City following their top-two finishes at the Garena Qualifier, which concluded over the weekend. Alula SC claimed the championship with USD4,500 in prize money, while ELEVATE took the runner-up spot and USD3,000.
Alula SC Completes Comeback In Grand Final
The qualifier featured 10 teams across three weeks of competition, drawing participants from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Philippine teams dominated the Playoffs stage, claiming all four available spots, extending a strong run for Philippine CODM esports in 2026. Earlier this year, both teams also took the top two spots at the Garena Summer Invitational 2026, with ELEVATE finishing first and Alula SC in second – a reversal of this qualifier’s outcome.
Following the Play-In and Group Stages, ELEVATE, Alula SC, Rival Esports and Vizualz SKAERI advanced to the Playoffs on 29 and 30 August. ELEVATE and Alula SC both opened with 3-0 wins over Vizualz SKAERI and Rival Esports respectively. ELEVATE then defeated Alula SC 3-0 in the Upper Bracket Final to reach the Grand Final, while Alula SC eliminated Rival Esports 3-0 in the Lower Bracket Final to set up a rematch.
In the Grand Final, Alula SC reversed its earlier loss, defeating ELEVATE 4-2 to claim the Garena Qualifier title. Both teams will now compete at the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals from 4 to 6 December in Mexico City, marking the tournament’s first appearance in the country; for ELEVATE, it will be a return to the global stage after finishing runner-up at the 2025 World Championship in Katowice, Poland.
