In case you’ve missed the finals, Thailand’s ZIGMA Counter-Strike team has been crowned the Champion of the ROG Masters 2021, which is the company’s first ever online Asia Pacific eSports tournament.

ZIGMA wins ROG Masters Asia Pacific 2021

The team qualified for the ROG Masters Asia Pacific finals by first beating 34 other Thai teams to win the Thai country qualifiers on 27th of March 2021. They then defeated Korean Regional Champions Four Seasons Gaming 2 matches to 0, then Indonesian first runner up team Fortez in the Round of 16 matches in the championship.

Continuing their journey, ZIGMA defeated Singapore’s Huat Zai 2 to 0 in the Semi Finals. They then met up with Philippine’s Expendables in the Grand Final of the tournament where it turned out to be the most competitive and exciting matches of the tournament which lasted over two hours.

In the first round, ZIGMA won 16 to 10 in Overpass but in the second round, Expendables made comeback to win 14 to 16 in Mirage. ZIGMA went on to secure their victory with a 16 to 9 score in the final round in Inferno.

Their player, CigaretteS_ is the tournament’s highest kill to death ratio player (1.81). With the victory, they’ve won the grand prize of US$10,000.

Pokdepinion: I can’t believe the CS GO scene is going strong until today. I don’t really fancy the game… but congrats to ZIGMA for being the best team in the region! Hopefully ROG will bring in more games to contest in future tournaments.
