HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.4 “In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound” will launch on July 15, which also begins with phase 2 collaboration with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. Below is the update trailer:
The update continues the Planarcadia story arc, with the Trailblazer confronting Lord Ravager Asat Pramad following the events of the previous chapter, in which Himeko went missing during a confrontation with the antagonist. The version story centres on tracking down Himeko and uncovering Asat Pramad’s motives connected to events from fifteen years prior.
Himeko returns in a new form, Himeko Nova, as a 5-star Fire-Type character following the Path of Erudition. Her kit centres on deploying a Territory and summoning a mech called Starblazer, which teammates can pilot during her Ultimate. Express Crew members gain additional effects when the Territory is active. Her banner will remain available throughout the entirety of Version 4.4.
Fate/stay night Collaboration Phase 2 Begins July 24
The second phase of the Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration begins on July 24. In the collaboration storyline, Rin Tohsaka arrives in Planarcadia after exhausting her magical energy and borrows a Holy Grail from the Star Rail FEST collection to attempt a summoning, triggering a new Holy Grail War event. The Trailblazer joins Rin Tohsaka to recover Gilgamesh’s scattered treasures and investigate the Imagenae: Holy Grail War.
Rin Tohsaka is a 5-star Quantum-Type character following the Path of Erudition, whose combat mechanics revolve around accumulating and consuming Gem Energy to deal additional damage. Gilgamesh is a 5-star Lightning-Type character following the Path of Destruction, accumulating Interest from ally actions to unlock his Skill and unleash Gate of Babylon, while his Ultimate triggers Enuma Elish for area damage.
From July 24 until before Version 4.6 ends, players can log in to claim either Gilgamesh or Archer as a free limited 5-star collaboration character, along with a portion of corresponding upgrade materials. Guarantee counts are shared across both phases of Collaboration Character Warps, and the same applies for Collaboration Light Cone Warps. Players who spend a total of 200 Star Rail Special Passes in Version 4.4 can select one of the limited 5-star collaboration Light Cones – “I Am As You Behold” or “The Hell Where Ideals Burn” – after the collaboration begins.
Returning Characters, Events, and Rewards
Limited 5-star characters Sparxie, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae, and Evernight return in the first half of Version 4.4, while Cerydra, Anaxa, and Aventurine return in the second half. Sparxie’s new outfit Candy-Coated Waves, a new pet Pentaflavor Emoti, and Trailblaze fashion Fan-Made Lygus are also being added. Players can claim a 10-pull reward upon logging in once the version goes live. New events include the collaboration event Fate/Star Rail Night, the version event Antigraft Brickbuster, and an expansion of the permanent gameplay feature Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game.
