Accor and Tropicana Corporation Berhad have signed a hotel management agreement for Mercure Living Genting Highlands, an extended-stay hospitality development within the Tropicana WindCity township in Genting Highlands. The property is scheduled to open in 2028 and will feature 1,443 fully furnished suites. It will be integrated into the TwinPines Serviced Suites at Tropicana Grandhill, a wellness-focused precinct within the 596-acre WindCity township.
Accor & Tropicana Inks Hotel Management Deal
The development will feature suites with kitchen and dining facilities, alongside an all-day dining restaurant, executive lounge, multipurpose function hall, heated swimming pool, fitness center, and extended-stay lifestyle amenities. Homeowners will have access to Accor’s global distribution network and the ALL loyalty program.
Mercure Living is Accor’s extended-stay brand, designed to provide spacious accommodation with residential conveniences alongside hotel services. The Genting Highlands property will be positioned within TwinPines Serviced Suites, described as Tropicana’s first green-certified development in the area, forming part of Tropicana Grandhill – one of three freehold precincts within the WindCity master plan alongside Tropicana Paradise and Tropicana Avalon.
The agreement supports Tropicana’s strategy of developing recurring income streams through professionally managed branded hospitality assets, combining the developer’s integrated township model with Accor’s operational standards and international brand recognition.
Accor currently operates 28 hotels in Malaysia with more than 7,300 keys and has a development pipeline of 10 properties representing over 2,600 keys. The addition of Mercure Living Genting Highlands contributes 1,443 keys to that pipeline, bringing the group’s total pipeline in Malaysia to over 4,000 keys upon completion.
