5/10New Nintendo Switch Model Coming Next Year
We’ve heard rumours for a while now that Nintendo is working on a newer model for the Nintendo Switch, which could come with some improved hardware (not necessarily just for performance). Now, we have a confirmation.
It appears that The Wall Street Journal has reported that a new, updated Nintendo Switch console will indeed be coming sometime in 2019.
According to them, Nintendo wants to boost sales momentum for their newest gaming console, which has since started to slow down a bit since its debut. This new model is expected to share many features with the existing model and be compatible with existing games on the hardware.
Nintendo is said to still be debating on what new hardware and software features to include in this new mode. One of the major considerations is on the display, which is said to be upgraded to something found similarly in today’s smartphone LCDs, which would “make it brighter. thinner, and more energy-efficient.”
In other words, there are no confirmed details yet as to what this new model will come with at the moment. Details are bound to pop up sooner or later so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Pokdepinion: As much as I am a fan of innovation, I hope the changes aren’t so significant that it would warrant an upgrade on my end. Then again, I would miss out on Super Smash Bros Ultimate if I didn’t buy it early so I guess you win some, you lose some.
