The rumour of the Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port getting cancelled first stemmed from the Ayaka and Ayato lore video that was released this month. Typically, their videos would list “planned release: Nintendo Switch” in the video description, along with a Nintendo trademark, but it’s not present in the aforementioned video.
This caused plenty of speculations to be thrown around on social media and various parts of the web. As it turns out, this was a mistake by HoYoverse as a Nintendo Switch mentioned was added into the video description a few hours after the video’s release.
It might have been caused by the rumours running wild but as a result, all the new videos that was released recently included the missing Nintendo Switch-related descriptions.
Genshin Impact is currently available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PC. Unfortunately, the release date for the Nintendo Switch port has yet to be announced.
Pokdepinion: Imagine leaving an intern to handle the video descriptions and they made the error of not including it out of uncertainty, and it resulted in this whole mess. That’s gonna be one big lesson to learn.
