Most updates for the platform has been minor, stability changes but for Nintendo Switch Update 11.0.0, it’s quite significant. It adds a number of changes includes quality-of-life updates and new additions which make it more convenient for gamers.
One of the major highlights of the update is the ability to share screenshots and video captures directly to your smartphone via a QR code. Furthermore, you can also share the same materials to your PC via USB. It’s worth mentioning that there is no indication of any Nintendo Switch smartphone app to be found anywhere for this.
Apart from that, they’ve also added a new “Trending” feature in the Nintendo Switch UI located on the profile page under the friends list. What it does is that it tells you what games are trending among people on a user’s friends list.
There are also other minor additions, such as automatically downloading save data from the cloud so you can migrate to a new system more seamlessly as well as the ability to prioritize active downloads.
