COVID-19 Pandemic Could Make Ubisoft Change Rainbow Six Quarantine Title

Ubisoft’s co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot has said that the company may be swapping the name for Rainbow Six Quarantine due to…well the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rainbow Six Quarantine title change?

As you may recall, the game was announced back in E3 2019 where it is a three player co-op shooter that was inspired by the Outbreak mode in Rainbow Six Siege.

Seeing how the pandemic is still around us, it isn’t surprising to see if the company changes the title of the game. Here’s what Guillemot had to say:

We are creating a product that is actually.. as it’s named today, it is something we are evaluating and we’ll see what comes in the future (on the title).

Despite the news, it seems that the game will indeed launch later in this year, albeit at an unspecific date. Rainbow Six Quarantine will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and we will probably see it on next-gen consoles too.

Ubisoft has recently offered Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China for free. Read more on that by heading to our previous article right here.
