Genshin Impact 2.6 Leak Reveals Huge Xiao Buff with New Artifact Set

The latest Genshin Impact 2.8 leak reveals a potential full rerun patch as well as when we can expect the Sumeru region to launch. Here’s what we know thus far.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Leaks: Full Rerun Patch and Sumeru Release

A new leak from renowned leaker DD, via Twitter account @SaveYourPrimos, the Chasm region will be divided into two parts, meaning that we are only getting a portion of it in Genshin Impact 2.8. Other parts will be arriving in a future update.

Apart from that, it’s being said that there will be no new characters in Genshin Impact 2.8, which is rather surprising since many were expecting Heizou to arrive given the sheer amount of details on the character. There is a chance that it’s just a lack of new 5-star characters. Either way, this coincides with earlier details about the update being a full rerun.

Furthermore, it is said that a new character will be coming in update 3.0, which is the next major update after 2.8, where we can also expect the Sumeru region to arrive. This will mark the debut of Dendro characters. Not much else is known yet but we will report more as soon as information becomes available.

For now, update 2.6 for the game will be launching on 30th March 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is still in development.

Pokdepinion: I anticipated a rerun coming soon anyway, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens then. Either way, we should still be able to look forward to a good number of new things coming our way.
