Phil Spencer Teases Big Update for Xbox App on PC
It appears that we may have a surprise coming our way as Phil Spencer is teasing a huge update for the Xbox App on PC, and it’s coming soon.
Big Xbox App Update Coming to PC Soon
According to Phil Spencer during a recent Same Brain Podcast episode, the Xbox App on PC is expected to get a major update that’s coming in “a couple of week”.
There is no exact mention on what exactly is coming as part of the update but it could point towards the addition of new features alongside the usual bug fixes. Some speculations point towards the ability to play xCloud games with mouse and keyboard instead of just a controller, and fixes with regards to syncing Xbox App accounts on EA.
One thing’s for sure, Phil Spencer agrees that PC plays a big role in the gaming space and they are doing more work in this area than before. They won’t be forgetting about their consoles for sure, since the Xbox Series X / S is getting a UI overhaul next year but at least they’re doing more for PC gaming now.
Pokdepinion: I still don’t really use the Xbox app much but if the update is really that significant, I would reconsider. I’m at least aware that recent updates made it much better compared to before.
