Game Director Katsuhiro Harada recently chimed in on Twitter about certain statistics on Tekken 7. This goes in line with what he shared during the latest Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable where he voiced out his wish to share more interesting data about his games with fans. For now, we’re starting with character usage statistics for specific characters for both online and offline play.
When asked about Kunimitsu, she is currently the 9th most played most character in Online play but much lower in Offline play at 38th. Lili Rochefort on the other hand is the 22nd most played character in both modes, something Harada noted as being very odd due to the similar placements. As for the most played characters in Tekken 7, it is a contest between King and Martial Law.
King usage data is…
From January 1st to January 31st, 2021,4th place Online mode.
2nd place Offline mode.Law and King have been competing for the top usage since TEKKEN6.
This is global stats, but country stats show more interesting results. https://t.co/pzbaHdEUdt

King is currently the 4th most played in Online play but 2nd most played for Offline play, and this applies globally. He noted that both Martial Law and King have competed for the top spot in terms of most played character since Tekken 6. It’s no surprise that Law is a popular pick, especially since he’s the game’s version of the iconic Bruce Lee, but to see more people choosing him over the likes of Kazuya, Jin, and Heihachi is surprising.
Pokdepinion: As a Kazuya main, I’m personally surprised. I figured any of the Mishima characters would take the top spot, but I guess I was wrong.
