GTA Online: The Chop Shop Sees Return Of Familiar GTA 4 Character
Normal business as usual after the massive hype that is GTA VI: but before that, there’s a new update here for GTA Online, titled The Chop Shop which sees the return of a fan-favorite character, Yusuf Amir – a badass A-rab with a mechanical camel.
In case you never remember this quote from the Egyptian-Emirati business mogul, let’s get you back up to speed: Yusuf Amir was previously featured in GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony as the side character to Luis Lopez, the protagonist of the DLC storyline. 15 years later, in Los Santos, Yusuf is looking to work with you for his latest business venture – stealing coveted vehicles.
This car-themed update brings a new class of business property – Salvage Yard, new vehicles (including the ability to purchase law enforcement vehicles), new Drift Races, and more. Your business operation will begin with a call from Yusuf, where you can purchase a Salvage Yard business to kick off a series of missions and meet the man himself, alongside his cousin, Jamal Amir.
Some aspects of this update are similar to the Import/Export missions from Simeon, which involve sending the cars off to the docks in exchange for a sum of money; alternatively, players can opt to salvage the vehicle instead for future use. Meanwhile, GTA Online also gets a rather unusual update on the environment itself – players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S may begin to see various animals roaming the land, sea, and sky of Los Santos. PC gamers will not get this feature, however.
The update should be available to download on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms starting today. Here’s the trailer:
