It appears the leaks were true after all as God of War appears to to be the headlining act for the PS Plus June 2022 free games lineup. For those of you who missed it, it’s basically a soft reboot of the franchise following Kratos after subduing the Olympian gods. He goes on a journey with his son, Atreus, to honor his late wife’s wish; to scatter her ashes at the atop the highest peak of the Nine Realms.
Apart from that, it appears that we’re getting a more action-oriented lineup this with the popular anime fighting game, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. If you’re a fan of fighting games or multiplayer games, this would be an excellent lineup, especially since the Nickelodeon game is their take on the Super Smash Bros formula.
For those of you who may be confused with the new PS Plus tiers, this lineup will be available for all tiers, which means the Essential, Extra, and Premium plans. The PS Plus June 2022 free games lineup will be made available from 7th June to 4th July 2022, so if you’ve missed out on May’s lineup of free games, you will have to wait for them to be offered again.
Pokdepinion: It’s getting clear that they certainly have a God of War announcement coming up soon. Otherwise, it would be rather weird as it would make more sense to save it when they have something to share about regarding the franchise instead of having it as part of PS Plus June 2022 since the sequel has been confirmed.
