Sony has announced the free games lineup for PS Plus September 2023, and it includes some exciting titles. Subscribers can download these games for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting from September 5.
PS Plus September 2023 FREE Games Lineup
The games available for free as part of PS Plus September 2023 lineup are:
- Saints Row (2022 reboot): Set in the new location of Santo Ileso, Saints Row follows a group of young career criminals as they take control of the city by any means necessary. If you enjoyed Saints Row 2 but felt the later entries were a bit too over-the-top, the new Saints Row offers a more balanced experience. It still retains the series’ comedic edge without going overboard.
- Black Desert: Traveler Edition: This is Pearl Abyss’ fantasy MMORPG known for its action-based combat, farming, fishing, and PvP siege events. Black Desert is free-to-play, but the Traveler Edition provides players with various in-game items and perks.
- Generation Zero: Developed by Avalanche Studios, the creators of Just Cause, Generation Zero is a first-person shooter set in an alternate-universe 1980s Sweden. Players must team up to battle robot invaders, survive in the wilderness, and uncover the mystery behind the mechanized invasion. Generation Zero was originally released on PS5 in 2019.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can still grab the August free games—Dreams, Death’s Door, and PGA Tour 2K23—until September 4.
It’s worth noting that PlayStation Plus subscription prices will increase starting next week, as Sony has announced. The annual Essential subscription will go up from $59.99 to $79.99, with Extra and Premium-tier annual subscriptions receiving price hikes of $35 and $40, respectively.
PlayStation Plus Essential offers online multiplayer access, a monthly selection of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. Subscribers can opt for an annual subscription at $59.99, a three-month subscription at $24.99, or a monthly subscription at $9.99.
Pokdepinion: I feel like this is the first month where we’ll see the least new subscribers, not because of the games but purely because of the price hike. We’re going to need to see some big changes / additions if they want to justify the increase.
