Zenless Zone Zero will soon get its first update, titled “Undercover R&B,” on August 14. The version 1.1 update introduces a new chapter focusing on New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S.) and the interactions between characters Qingyi, Jane, Seth, and the Mountain Lion Gang. Version 1.1 will bring the “Inferno Reap” gameplay to Hollow Zero, allowing players to directly engage in battles with Nineveh. The New Eridu Public Security area at Lumina Square will also be accessible to players. Additionally, the update will feature events like Camellia Golden Week, offering various rewards.
Zenless Zone Zero Update 1.1: What’s New
In the new chapter, characters Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth will confront the Mountain Lion Gang, the criminals that have evaded the law thanks to the help of Jane. In the “Undercover R&B” Special Episode, players (or “proxies”) will explore New Eridu, complete commissions as Jane, and learn about her complex past with N.E.P.S.
The new characters include Qingyi, an S-Rank Electric Stun character, who specializes in inflicting Daze and electric damage, with her attacks building up “Flash Connect Voltage” for powerful strikes; Jane, an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent, will first appear as an opponent – she can trigger “Passion State” for rapid, multi-stage attacks and inflict Attribute Anomaly on enemies. Meanwhile, Seth, an A-Rank Electric Defense character, provides shields to teammates and wields a large sword for combat. The new S-Rank Bangboo “Officer Cui” will assist players in the Hollows.
Zenless Zone Zero is also adding “Inferno Reap” gameplay to Hollow Zero: after completing the “Withering Garden” stage and related commissions, players can challenge Nineveh for in-game rewards. The “Camellia Golden Week” event will offer items like Polychromes and A-level W-engine through event commissions. Finally, the new update also includes Immersive Tactical Drill, First-Class Customer Service, and upgraded camera functions with filters and selfie options.
