Far Cry 6 Release Date Officially Confirmed

Are you excited to learn about the Far Cry 6 release date? According to Ubisoft, this is when you can expect the next entry in the blockbuster franchise to launch.

Far Cry 6 Release Date

Initially leaked on the Hong Kong PlayStation Store in the middle of last year, the Far Cry 6 release date was listed as 18th February 2021 at that point in time. Soon after, it was delayed to 26th May 2021 but now, it has been officially announced by Ubisoft to be 7th October 2021.

Ubisoft also shared more gameplay footage of the game, showing off the open world exploration but with some big additions and changes to the game. The most notable one is its wide options for weapons. The protagonist of the game is Dani Rojas, and while the official story lists the character as a lady, it’s still up to you if you’d like to be male or female. Players will be tasked, with guerilla warfare as part of the focus, to get rid of a dictator controlling the fictional country, Yara.

The Far Cry 6 release date is set for 7th October 2021 assuming there are no more additional delays. It will be coming to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. For those purchasing the game for the older generation console, you will also be entitled to a free next gen upgrade.

Pokdepinion: I really hope they’ve made enough changes to warrant another entry. The games aren’t bad, but it has gotten rather stale, at least for me. Only time will tell, I suppose.
