The story depicts on the story of a cupid named Tim, who is turning against the law of heaven, makes a human, Michelle, to fall in love with him. Due to his decision, he is stuck with the choice to let love run its course or follow to the strict rules that cupids must abide by. This in turn makes Tim to face the consequences of his actions, navigating through life, love, mistakes together with his best friend and colleague, Bruce to stand by his side. It is kind of like your ‘forbidden love’ type of story.

As we’ve reported yesterday where the company venture into the local content and short form strategy, iflix partners with local Youtube content creators for an original mini-series. Macam Yes Studios were provided fundings to bring Cupid Co. to life. The short series is written and directed by Brian Lee and Ernest Ng, with Dan Khoo as Co-director and Executive Producer. The show stars Michael Lean (Kael) as Tim, Michelle Leong as Michelle, Dennis Yin as Bruce, Amanda Ang as Director Evans, Tanesh as Eugene, and also Ernest Ng as Matt.

The company has said that it will see the popularity that it gets and might showcase it outside of Malaysia as well. They have also said that they will be going on a tour to universities in the Klang Valley region to further promote the show, with the cast also involved. The six-part dramatic series is available to stream and download for free, exclusively on iflix. So if you’re wondering what to watch next, you might want to have a look at it.

Pokdepinion: It’s nice to see that local content creators are given the chance. Who knows, they might even get attention from outside of the country.
