While LeEco is rather unheard of here in Malaysia, it seems that the brand has a pretty strong following in China. Which isn’t all that surprising when you see their upcoming device is set to be the first smartphone to pack 8GB of RAM. Well get ready for the LeEco Le2S.

The LeEco Le2S is rumored to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC mated to the massive 8GB of RAM. Not much else is revealed in these photos except that it will feature a nice 2.5D curved glass panel, over what should be a 2K 5.5″ display.

While we saw Samsung still stuck on 4GB of RAM with their Galaxy Note 7, Chinese companies like LeEco are scrambling to fight in terms of RAM capacity. Just like the previous megapixel race that was the forefront of the smartphone wars, now it has turned to RAM as consumers begin to realize megapixels don’t mean better quality.
