OPPO F9 to be the fastest charging mid-range smartphone?

OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge has been renowned to be one of the fastest charging technologies. Usually reserved for the higher-end models like the OPPO R-series and the revived OPPO Find-series, it is now making a reappearance in the OPPO F-series, as it is coming to the OPPO F9.

The usual quick charging adapters push out about 18W, and even that is usually reserved for flagship devices. Mid-range devices usually settle for 10W chargers, but not the OPPO F9. OPPO claims up to 2 hours of talktime with just a 5-minute charge, via its blazing fast 20W charging, with VOOC Flash Charge technology.

The combination of low voltage and high current allowed OPPO to keep the OPPO F9 cooler than competing fast-charging technologies can, while also delivering faster charging. Safety is also assured with five layers of protection.

Aside from this new technology, the OPPO F9 will feature a minimized notch, or as OPPO calls it, a Waterdrop Screen design, for a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%.
