The most exciting month of gaming this year is about to end, with blockbuster game releases like Marvel’s Spider-Man, which we reviewed already, and Dragon Quest XI, which we are currently reviewing. Some of you right now are looking towards the horizon, wondering what free games will be coming for PS Plus Asia this October 2018. Well, let’s jump right into it, shall we?

The headlining act of this month’s free games line up for PS Plus Asia is Portal Knights. It is an RPG where you level up your character and craft powerful gears to defeat your enemies in real-time tactical combat. Explore a bunch of randomly-generated islands and enjoy up to 4-person co-op multiplayer. Work together on the same island to build structures, explore dungeons, and overcome the toughest perils or play separately on different islands.
Next up, we have Rocketbirds 2 Evolution, where the original Rocketbirds return with a bang. Featuring enhanced controls, new combat systems, a Story Mode, a revamped 1-4 player Rescue Mode, and an improved soundtrack, it’s said to be an all-around better game.
And then we have Thumpers, a rhythm-based game with blistering speeds. Scream down the endless track and crash through punishing obstacles with simple, airtight controls. Reach speeds like never before and fight through every obstacle, even the crazy boss battles, accompanied by a pounding original soundtrack. If you’d like, you can even play the game using your PSVR.

As an added bonus for everyone, there will be a free multiplayer weekend from 5th October to 7th October 2018, You can make use of the online multiplayer feature in games even without a PS Plus subscription. The titles that they recommend trying out multiplayer for is Monster Hunter World, Rainbow Six Siege, and FIFA 19.
Pokdepinion: The free games lineup this time around is okay I guess. Was expecting a little bit better but I’m still more than happy to get Portal Knights since I haven’t played that yet.
Most exciting month this year? October surely since RDR2 will take top everything.
It really depends on your taste in gaming. Some may find October better with the likes of RDR 2, Black Ops 4, Mega Man 11, AC Odyssey, and more. But there’s also a good number of people who prefers September :)
