Samsung Galaxy Note 5 might be early

Samsung might release the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 early this year to get the jump on Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s launch. Usually Samsung will release their latest Galaxy Note around the first week of September, but last year’s unveiling of the Note 4 at Berlin on 3rd September 2014 and the iPhone 6’s launching on the 9th of September 2014 may have affected sales of the Note 4 enough for Samsung to move the event earlier to prevent Apple from stealing the limelight.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be unveiled in August according to sources at The Wall Street Journal. Details are still unclear about the Note 5 but we are sure they will leak out bit by bit as we approach the launch.

This may also be a step to boost up their sales once again as reports of disappointing financial results due to Samsung misjudging the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung has predicted to sell 4 Galaxy S6s to be sold for each Galaxy S6 Edge but the curvier sister was more popular than the S6, resulting in a supply shortage of the S6 Edge.

Pokdepinion: While I don’t really like Samsung phones in general, I am more interested in their Note line-up as compared to any other model they launch. The Note line-up with the S Pen functions, just seems a step above all the other phones in the market. I have tried the S Pen. Some will say it’s a gimmick few people use, but I am sure as a student I will be using it quite a lot just to jot down some short notes or stuff like that.
