The iPhone XR is now RM750 cheaper
Following the launch of the new iPhone 11, the iPhone XS series is discontinued, while the iPhone XR gets more affordable price tags. And quite substantially so too, with it now being priced from just RM2899.
Apple has dropped the 256GB variant, and is only retaining the 64GB and 128GB storage capacities. To recap, the iPhone XR is Apple’s best selling iPhone in the last generation lineup, and features the 6.1″ sub-FHD Liquid Retina IPS LCD display just like the new iPhone 11.
The main drawbacks when compared to the iPhone XS duo is the single camera and aluminium frame, instead of the pricier iPhone XS’ dual camera and stainless steel frame. Inside lies most the same hardware like the absolutely stellar A12 Bionic and a tiny battery that’s really Apple’s thing.
iPhone XR Specs
- Apple A12 Bionic, hexa-core up to 2.5 GHz, 7nm FinFET
- 3GB LPDDR4x RAM
- Up to 128GB storage
- 6.1″ Liquid Retina display, IPS LCD, 1792×828 (326 ppi)
- 12MP f/1.8 primary camera
- 7MP f/2.2 selfie camera, TrueDepth camera
- 2942 mAh battery, 18W fast charging
- 64GB: RM2899
- 128GB: RM3099
The iPhone XR looks like a great option for iPhone users on a budget with the revised pricing, as it offers a pretty big upgrade over anything older than the iPhone X. Speaking of the iPhone X, the older iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus’ pricing has also been updated, with prices starting from RM2199.
- iPhone 8 64GB: RM2199
- iPhone 8 128GB: RM2399
- iPhone 8 Plus 64GB: RM2699
- iPhone 8 Plus 128GB: RM2899
