Transcend SSD+ Upgrade Kit allows you to reuse the HDD you replaced with an SSD

If you upgrade your laptop with an SSD, you may find yourself with an extra HDD. Some laptops have ODD bays which can be converted to slot in the hard disk, but if your laptop doesn’t, your only option is to turn it into an external drive. The Transcend SSD+ Upgrade kit allows you to do just that for RM119.

The Transcend SSD+ Upgrade Kit consists of a StoreJet 25CK3 USB 3.0 drive enclosure and the SSD Scope software for easy data migration. The StoreJet 25CK3 enclosure features all the shock-proofing you can find from the StoreJet external drives, which is a whole lot. It also features the one-touch backup function to make quick backups to the external drive.

The SSD Scope is an easy to use suite to painlessly migrate your current data to a new SSD, and also allows easy monitoring of your Transcend SSD’s status via S.M.A.R.T. technology.

Pokdepinion: For some reason, Transcend re-releases their rugged StoreJet external drive enclosure in a “kit” with a piece of software that is bundled with all Transcend SSDs. But at least it is cheaper than the original drive enclosure’s pricing.
