Apparently Xiaomi’s unannounced Mi 6S device was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarks, where it seems to be an upgraded version of previous MI 6 that came out last year.

In the benchmark, it revealed that the Mi 6S will be running on the same chipset as the former Mi 6 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. TO add to that, it will also pack the same 6GB RAM that was offered by it’s brethren. A major update is that instead of running on Android Oreo, the device will be running on Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.

The phone should pack a dual rear camera and could come in a 4GB RAM variant. Other specifications remain in the dark though.

With the Xiaomi 6S, it joins a wide arrange of devices that are yet to come out which includes the Mi Mix 3 and Mi LEX, if it does indeed turns out to be true.

Pokdepinion: If they really are coming out with the Mi 6S, I guess they are offering more affordable devices, at least in the top-tier range with the likes of the Pocophone that packs a flagship Snapdragon 845.

  • Kinda agree to their tactic of using reduced price flagship soc to offer flagship level performance with midrange phone price. Just hoping the phone design to be better quality as well. Phocophone easy to break, little flaws here and there.. sigh
