Not too long ago Razer announced the new Seiren V3 Pro microphone, but the company is revisiting the original Seiren V3 Chroma with a new update: the USB mic now gets 32-bit DSP (digital signal processor) capability. It is thus aptly named “Razer Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP” for differentiation’s sake, since the design is unchanged from the original model.
Razer Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP
As the model name implies, the Razer Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP operates up to 32-bit depth and supports sample rates of 48kHz and 96kHz. The dedicated onboard DSP provides additional audio headroom to handle sudden volume spikes, loud reactions, and shifting microphone distances in real time, reducing clipping and distortion without taxing the host PC’s processing resources. (Also, Max SPL and SNR rating is now 120dB and 112dB respectively, compared to 110dB and 96dB in the original.)
Borrowed from the Seiren V3 Pro’s software feature set, the built-in AI processing handles noise reduction, automatic EQ, compression, and limiting directly on the hardware. The microphone itself is no different than the original, featuring a 16mm supercardioid condenser capsule that isolates all angles but front for optimal noise isolation. Same goes for I/O – you won’t find XLR inputs here, though USB-C should do the job for most.
The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP is available now at Razer.com, RazerStores, and select retailers worldwide; in Malaysia, the Black colorway is priced at RM529 – surprisingly, a lot cheaper than before – while the White and Quartz variants carry a slight premium, at RM569 apiece.
