JBL Malaysia is currently hosting the “Heart of Sound” roadshow at 1 Utama until this weekend, and the Harman subsidiary is introducing several new audio products through the event. Three of its speakers are now getting a refresh, while the company introduces a TWS earbuds with onboard display, as well as audio sunglasses.

Starting off, we have the refreshed portable speakers lineup which includes the new Xtreme 4, Clip 5, and Go 4. The refresh mainly revolves around “cosmetic changes”, though they all get the new Auracast feature, which enables audio to be played in several speakers at once.
Besides the speakers, JBL is also debuting the new Live Beam 3 TWS. The earbuds’ charging case features a 1.45-inch touch panel that allows for quick controls, including playback and EQ mode. Besides that, the earbuds also feature True Adaptive Noise Cancelling, which works best with the Ear Canal Test found in the JBL Headphones app. It also supports multipoint connection and up to 48 hours of combined battery life.
Finally, there’s the Soundgear Frames: inside the rather thick transparent frame you’ll find a pair of speakers, microphone array and other components to make this work, while “dual module environmental noise cancellation” and “nonlinear echo suppression algorithms” are responsible for audio quality in calls. It’s also IP54 water resistant, and offers up to 8 hours of playtime. The prescription lenses can be changed by a professional optician as well.
